Dr. Khan is a US-IMG graduate from a medical school in Pakistan. She graduated with Honors and is licensed to practice in The United Kingdom and Pakistan. Her goal is to be a board-certified surgeon in the United States. She moved to California to pursue the American Dream of being a General Surgeon, and RM is helping her towards her goal.
Dr. Khan is fully aware of the challenges residency and fellowship applicants face in their quest for an ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship. Her complex knowledge of the residency and fellowship application process and first-hand experience of the difficulties medical school students face with USMLE exams and clerkships and medical school graduates face in achieving residency make her an expert mentor. Dr. Khan’s understanding of the struggles that international medical graduates face gives her a unique insight when helping Residents Medical students and placement candidates through the process of achieving their dream residency or fellowship. Every year, it is getting more difficult to achieve PGY training for U.S. and IMG residency/fellowship aspirants.
Dr. Khan possesses empathy, temperament, and real-life experience to guide her cohorts in becoming more competitive applicants. As Senior Residency and Fellowship Specialist Counselor at Residents Medical, Dr. Khan mentors and assists RM’s medical students and graduates in navigating an ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship.
