Dr. Patel graduated from Rutgers University as a Rutgers Scholar magna cum laude in Biology, Psychology, and Chemistry. During college, he served as a private tutor in General Physics, Mechanical Physics, Ultrasound Physics, Organic Chemistry, General Anatomy, Physiology, and Differential Equations for WyZant Tutoring Services. After undergrad, he studied abroad in London, England for a year at Cambridge before applying to medical school. While in medical school he developed a community outreach program with weekly educational seminars for the general public regarding prevalent medical illnesses in the community with the intent to improve medication compliance. After med school, he became an instructor for the USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2 CS, Graduate Study Series for USMLE Step 2 CK / Step 3 and served as a Medical Advisor for Kaplan Medical. As a medical advisor, he had the opportunity to guide both American and Foreign medical graduates with test-taking strategies, exam readiness and creating appropriate study plans. Dr. Patel taught USMLE at Kaplan for 4 years while simultaneously pursuing a career in clinical research. He graduated from a prestigious clinical research training program at Harvard Medical School with a concentration in Epidemiology and was deemed a clinical research scholar at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Currently, Dr. Patel is a PGY-2 resident in Internal Medicine at Marshall University School of Medicine with aspirations to pursue a role as an academic hospitalist and attend the Harvard Macy Institute to enhance his skills as a clinical educator.
